Mexican president announces new airport for Tulum
President Andrés Manuel López Obrador announced at a press conference on October 1, 2020, that an International Airport will be built in the city of Tulum Quintana Roo, for the promotion of tourism and the development of southeast Mexico.
“The new Tulum Airport will be established, which will help us a lot. The section from Tulum to Escasega will also be completed so that the Mayan train will become the transportation from Palenque to the bay.”
The President emphasized that it is very important that Quintana Roo restart all its activities because it is one of the centers of tourist activities in Mexico, since the activities were stopped by the pandemic.
